Ghana program teaches language, morals

GONUKROM, Ghana, Dec. 4 Owusu Ansah Malik, 16, thought his native language, Twi, was second-rate because his school emphasized English, Ghana's national language. A program offering instruction, books and mentoring in Twi helped him see the value of his mother tongue and improved his English at the same time.
